Morning Conditions: Winds NW 5-10mph, Sunny, 72 deg water temp. I
headed out to Crankbaits
really did not seem to be working well. I caught a few fish on a Rapala
DT-10, but every fish was pretty small. After slowing down and probing
the deeper (12-15’) weeds, I found a few fish above the 14-inch mark.
For those fish, I used nothing really fancy: a Gambler Lures 7” Ribbon
Tail worm, 1/8 ounce sinker, 4/0 Owner J-Hook, and Rogue Rods SJ663S
spinning rod with 10 lb Trilene XL. Sometimes fishing the basic
techniques is most productive… |
