Bass
Fishing Report; Mississippi River Pool 9; April 15, 2006 I was down on Pool 9 for a while on Saturday. Stuck a few nice pigs, but the bite seemed to have turned off around 10:30 as the clouds started rolling in and air temp dropped slightly. The air temp was 63 degrees at the time they seemed to "stop biting" The pool level was at 11.8ft and falling. Found most on sunken islands with 3 foot of water and no current. Tried a few points and picked up a few, but nothing really going yet. Found water temperature as high as 62 degrees in one bay, but mostly it hovered around 59. Spinnerbaits and rattletraps seemed to work best in the morning. |
