Bass Fishing Report; Mississippi River Pool 10; April 27, 2006
On
Friday my tournament partner Alex and I spent the day on pool 10 for the
first time this year. The bite was more difficult than I thought it was
going to be, this was based largely off of the fact of the water clarity
and that the cold rains the week before lowered the water temperature. We
were able to locate some males that were just starting to make beds.
Looking for wood in backwater lakes and coves was what we targeted.
Flipping a finesse jig was Alex's go to bait, while I stuck with a tube
and plastic craw. This decent keeper hammered my tube as I drug it down
a rock bank. With
the warm weather forecasted to continue look for the big girls to start
to move shallow! |
