Fishing Report; Long Lake; June 3, 2006 Fished a Thursday evening tournament. Started on the back side of Kunz island fishing beds in 6' of water. All the beds were srategically loacted within a few feet of wood. We caught a few keepers on Sweet Beaver knock-offs but all were 15" males. We worked our way to the reed point on the northeast end of Kunz island and the fish were stacked there. Literally a bite per cast of the Senko but all of the fish were short. Tried a point that typically holds fish this time of yeqar and no bites. Moved to a dock pattern and caught a nice spawned out female in less than a foot of water - we caught a mixed bag of largemouth and smallmouth on this pattern. There was plenty of action for a post spawn bite. Long Lake is a tremendous fishery and besides the bass there is allot of nice walleye and panfish |
