Bass Fishing Report; Lake Wisconsin, July 29, 2006

Conditions:
Air temperature: 90’s
Water temperature: 82
Light Wind and Sunny
Water: Lightly stained/algae

I spent the last two days fighting the heat so I could go out and chase some bass on one of my favorite lakes. The fishing is really hot right now in more ways than one. I was able to locate good fish over the past few days with many of them being in the 2-2 ½ pound range, good tournament fish, minus a licker or two. Anyway right now is a great time to be on the water as they are settled into their summer haunts and are feeding heavy on both shad and craws. It looks to be yet another banner year for the shad hatch.

The lures of choice over the past few days have been a Blue Devil Swim jig by Brovarney Baits, as well as a variety of plastics. I am going to hold off from giving up the plastics in use and their colors until next weekend, after the tournament I am fishing in. I will also give a complete report, with all my patterns in my tournament journal for the Thursday’s Child Event. All in al though, it is a great time to be out there on the water.  Be safe and courteous on the water.

Please check out www.brovarneybaits.com to check out the Blue Devil Swim Jig, or contact me to learn more about them.

Tight Lines and God Bless
