Lake Fishing Report; September 23-24, 2006
I
spent some time on
Gull
Lake
this weekend. Found the fish
Deeper than I expected. I
started Saturday fishing some shallow weeds around hard bottoms in about
4'-6' of water. There were a
few smaller fish. Later in
the day I tried a weed line in about 13-14' of water that is where I
found the bigger fish, I
caught a 4 Largemouth over 3 pounds.
Sunday was the better of the 2 days with the sun coming out the
fish in the shallow water started to cooperate a little better.
The quality fish were still coming out of the deeper water on
crankbaits and jigworms. The
largest fish I caught during the weekend came out of 20' of water
chasing minnows on top. The
xtool weighed it in at 3lb 9oz. Despite the rain on Saturday it was a
good weekend of fishing.
