Bass Fishing Report –
Patoka
Lake
Saturday April 14, 2007
After the unusually warm weather in March, we have had very cold weather
so far in April which has caused the water temperature to drop 15
degrees over the last two weeks most places around here, including
Patoka. I fished Patoka for
a few hours Saturday just to kill some time.
I only caught one bass, but it was a good one – 6lbs 6 oz.
I caught that fish on a red Cordell Super Spot ripped through
some grass in about 4 feet of water.
I didn’t have any other bites for an hour, so I crappie fished
for a couple of hours. I
caught probably 30 crappie, mostly small ones, but it was a good time.
If you go to Patoka bass fishing in the next few weeks, take a
crappie rod with you.
