Some of this report will be a repeat, that is because the bass are in full summer stage.

The lake is turning on strong, bass fishing has really picked up. I would rate the fishing at excellent. An angler can still fish their strengths and pretty well catch some good bass.
The bass can be caught from the bank all the way down to 25 ft deep. Points, ledges, weed edges and humps are great producers right now.

Fish slow and try to locate bottom structure with worms, jigs and shaky heads. Keep your lure in contact with the bottom, lures OR weights ranging from 5/16 to 3/4 of an ounce are my choices.

Also try seeking out some brush piles in the 12 to 18 foot range, this is almost a guaranteed catch for bass. Dragging a 10 in. worm through the brush is a great choice.

Although a  variety of presentations work well,  my favorite being a jig and pig combination.

Keep your eye out for schooling fish and have a top water plug handy. I prefer a Zara Spook .An angler can catch several consecutive  bass by having a sharp eye. Always pay attention to the surface activity around you.

Other lures of choice are tubes, and brushogs. Junebug, watermelon, green pumpkin, red shad, tequila sunrise, black and blue flake, and black are great colors for this time of season.
