Bass Fishing Report; Lake Egypt ; Apr. 1, 2007

SnS Guide Service

Lake Temp :  67(South End) 71(North End)
Species:  Bass
Wind:  5-30 mph S-SW
Air Temp: 80 deg.
Barometer: 30.23
Conds: Sunny
Arrival:  6:30 am
Depart:  3:00 pm

The morning was  cool and the skies were clear.

The bass are moving to shallow pockets to spawn, with a few of them already locked on bed. The males are crusin the banks looking for good areas to spawn, I don't believe the majority of the big females have yet  pushed to the bank, but are very close.

Fishing top water plugs in the morning around vegetation will be a great choice. Try fishing plastics, spinnerbaits, and jigs around the vegetation and any wood cover available. Lipless crankbaits are still producing some fish on flat areas.

Colors of choice are in crawfish pattern, watermelon seed, green pumpkin and junebug.

Stay in productive depths of 0 - 5 ft.,  cover the shallow areas thoroughly and you should have a productive and rewarding trip.

Thanks for stopping by and reading SnS fishing reports!
