During
this event the team of Jim Sprinkle and Greg Bard called me and
said their aerator had quit working and they were afraid they
would have all their fish DIE! They wanted to know what the
earliest they could weigh in? I told them, as I would any team that had a problem that
would cause them to have their catch to DIE, when you get here I
will have the scales ready for you to weigh in!
After you weigh all the catch in, you will have to pull
your rig out. They came in at 12:30 PM and I weighed the catch in.
A note to doing early weigh-in, I will not weigh one fish in
because it may die and the team go back out to finish the
tournament! When you
weigh in you have finished the tournament no matter what time it
is. We had several of the locals watching as we weighed the catch
in.
The First Out of the Money for a “DICKS SPORTING GOODS”
certificate ($50) was Bruce Young, Jr. and Harold Chaney

the Money)

Wayne) with 10.85# for
$403.

Duracz with 11.13#
brought them a check for $700. The second place team did not have
their limit till LATE and they were using worms.

(Huntington) with 15.92# They
cashed a check for $1234.
Big Bass was brought to the scales by Sprinkle and Bard a
5.09 largemouth for another $260.
Money was paid on 25 teams. The first place team was using
FINNESS WORMS and had their limit before 9:00 AM they caught 6
keepers total.
The next tournament will be AUGUST 19TH
on MAXINKUCKEE. This
will be our 6th event, We will be launching from the
DNR ramp.
Park as close to each other as you can!
If the first rig would go all the way to the NORTH we can
get the next parked close. I
know it is a long walk and it is better if you could park closer
to the ramp. Well
once that area to the SOUTH is filled then go all the way to the
NORTH and work your way back to the ramp area?
IT IS JUST A SUGGESTION!
Registration will be 4:00 am to 5:45 am.
Tournament hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM!
WE WILL SEE WHAT THE OFFICIAL SUN RISE IS!!!.
THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING TICKETS FOR RUNNING BEFORE SUN
RISE!!! We
will get you started at Safe Light.
Thanks for fishing!
