Scott McIntyre and Tony Waters Win it all

The day started off with 54 boats taking to lake Shelbyville in the last tournament of the season. As the day progressed the pleasure boat traffic built and sent many of the teams in the coves.

The team of Scott McIntyre from Decatur, IL and Tony Waters from Springfield won big creel with 18.48 pounds, big fish 6.32 pounds, Bonus bucks for Ranger Cup, having Hamby Keel guard, display of ITT decal on boat, and wearing Solar Bat Sunglasses for a total money of over $3000.00 They caught their fish from middle lake south, fishing Carolina rigs with a do nothing style pre-rigged worms and jig in about 30 feet of water. The big fish was caught about an hour and a half into the tournament on a purple do nothing style pre-rigged worm. They fished main lake areas from 10 to 15 foot deep as well as the deeper areas.

Father/ Son team of Melvin and Josh Argo from Taylorville, Illinois were second place winners with 17.34 pounds and a big fish weighing in at 5.27 pounds. They mainly fished brown/gold jigs and power worms in 10 feet of water concentrating on coves in the central part of the lake.

Third place team was john Wright of Shelbyville, Illinois and Rodney Egelston from Champaign. John and Rodney were fishing a jig with a hopping technique on main lake areas that got them 17.31 pounds with their big fish being 4.91 pounds.

A total of the 45 teams that brought fish to the scales there were 138 fish weighed in with a total weight of 346.4 pounds.
