Weather Made IBF Tournament on
Lake
Shelbyville
a tough day for 85 anglers on Sunday May 5th. Prior to
tournament day the weather had changed from heavy rain on Friday
to sunny with only a mild breeze on Saturday. Sunday morning
anglers were greeted with cool (almost cold) temperatures and high
winds.
There were a total of forty-eight fish brought to the
scales with a total weight of just over one hundred and twenty
pounds. This made an average weight 2.63 pounds per fish.
Big fish weighed in on the pro side was 5.34 pounds brought
to the scales by Todd Rhodes of the Great Lakes Bass Anglers.
There were only twenty-one anglers on the pro side out of
forty-eight that weighed fish. Only seven of those brought more
than one fish to the scales. Second biggest bass was caught by
Steve Anderson with a weight of 4.02 pounds.
The big fish on the co-angler side was
caught by Jerry Weselch of the Macon Liners County Bass
Club. The second
largest bass on the amateur side was caught by
the only angler to bring three fish to the scale,
Kent Oakley from the Falcon Bass Club.

Rhodes who caught the big bass and placed fourth on the pro-side
is from

IL
and caught his fish green pumpkin craw tube. Todd was disappointed
in only bringing one fish to the scales but was very happy with
the size of that one fish.

won the pro-side fishing ½
ounce Rat-L-Trap. Jason found a point that held several fish and
was able to bring two fish to the scales that get him a check for
$1378.86.
