1st place winners Kenny Hemmen and Gene Thoele, from St Louis, MO and Effingham, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 15-67 Lbs winning $1,754.00, including Kenny’s $250.00 in Ranger Cup Bonus Money. They fished white Lucky Craft crankbaits, around the north end of the lake in about 3-6 feet of water. They culled 3 other fish and had a limit by 10:30 am. Kenny is 41 and is a consultant. Gene is 41 and is in auto sales. 

2nd place winners James Rost and Pat Creighton, from Dahlgren and Wayne City, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 13-99 Lbs winning $752.00. They fished around the Gun Creek area, using shad colored Bagley crankbaits, in about 3-8 feet of water. James is 60 and is a storeowner. Pat is 47 and is a carpenter. 

3rd place winners Gene Miller and Jeff Farmer, from Benton and Sesser, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 13-19bs winning $517.00. They pitched U.S. Tackle brown jigs, tubes and crankbaits, in shallow water around the south end of the lake. Gene is 42 and works for Walgreens. Jeff is 39 and works for General Tire. Rend Lake Marina sponsors them. 

4th place winners Ken Stone and Robert Bruce, from Granite City, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 13-05 Lbs winning $846.00, including Robert’s, 5-32 Lb big bass money. They fished red shad worms on rocks in the North Gun Creek area in about 6 feet of water. Ken is 40 and is a Federal Security site manager. Robert is 28 and is in the Air Force. 

Mike Anderson, won Woodland, IL, won second big bass with his 5-29 Lb bass winning $235.00.
