The
seventh and final tournament of the season was held at
Rend
Lake
, September 17, 2006. The day started out at 6:30 am safe light
take off. Cool temperatures and brisk winds did not slow the bite
with five boats weighing in a five fish limit.
“DIVISION WINNERS”
The first place team of Jack Doan and Ben Doan caught their fish
on main lake point in the wind. They were using Dunn’s Sporting
Goods Spinner Baits and Tubes. The team reported catching ten
keepers during the day to take the win. The team had a total of
15.79 pounds. First place and entering the option pot earned them
a check totaling $1160.00.
In second place is the team of Paul Seiler and John Olznoi.
They had a total weight of 14.13 pounds. They caught all their
fish flipping tubes in the buck brush. The second place win and
entering the side pot earned their checks totaling $774.00.
The third place team of Shannon Toigo and Joe Burgess. Caught one
fish on a spinner bait and four fish on crank baits. They caught
all their fish on rip rap banks. Their
total weight of 12.94 pounds earned them plaques and side
pot of $56.00.
The team of Mike Goesman and Mike Anderson had big bass of
the day. The big bass weighed 5.39 pounds. The team reported they
made a long run north through the trees and the trestle to catch
this fish. The fish was caught on a lizard in shallow water near
laying logs. This scary run earned them a check for $170.00. NICE
FISH!
