The
fifth event of the year was held at Rend Lake, July 9, 2006. The
day started out bright and sunny with a few clouds moving in
midday. There was light rain off and on in the afternoon which
kept the temperatures in the mid 80’s with light winds. It was a
very comfortable day for fishing on Rend Lake.
The
first place team of Billy Dean and Mike
Davis caught their fish early to take the win. The team had a
total weight of 13.92 lbs which earned them a check for
$1234.00. The team caught their fish flipping jigs in the brush.
They fished a spinner bait to boat their fifth fish. Great job
guys!!
In
second place is the team of Mike Goesman and Mike Anderson. They
had a total weight of 11.54 lbs and earned checks totaling
$890.00.
Third
place goes to the team of Jerry Walker and Bob Atchison they had a
total weight of 11.05 lbs to earned checks totaling $517.00.
The
team of Paul Seiler and John Olznoi received fourth place and had
big bass of the day. The big bass weighed in at 5.05 lbs. The fish
was caught on an advantage jig ¼ oz with a zoom trailer. The fish
gave up quickly by heading for the boat and was scooped up without
incident. They had a total weight of 10.97 lbs earning checks for
a total of $539.00.
