1st place winners Eddie Kelly and Robert Crutcher, from St Louis, MO, won over $2,800 in the last 7 days fishing BWSTA. They weighed in the only limit of 5 fish for 7-55 Lbs winning $1,377.00, including Eddie’s $250.00 in Ranger Cup Bonus Money. They fished in creeks using black/blue sweet beavers in about 2-4 feet of water. They said they caught most of their fish early in the morning before the water starting turning stained from the high water. Eddie is 54 and is retired. Rob is 47 and is a chef. Nameoki Village Marine, Ranger Boats, Thunder Baits and BWSTA sponsor them. 2nd place winners Charlie Shelts and Bill McNeece, from Winchester, IL, weighed in 3 fish for 6-25 Lbs winning $713.00, including Charlie’s big bass money. They flipped black/blue tubes in the back of Buffalo Creek in shallow water. Charlie is 51 and is an operating engineer. Bill is 52 and is a Winchester, IL city worker. 3rd place winners Scott Jackson and James Brewer Jr, from Troy MO, weighed in 2 fish for 5-12 Lbs winning $322.00, including Scott’s big bass money. They caught their fish on white chatter baits and flippin junebug colored lizards in Noix and Pinnacle Creek in 2-4 feet of water. Scott is 49 and works for Boeing. James is 46 and also works for Boeing. TSC Marine Center in Troy, MO sponsors them. 14 boats weighed in 34 fish for 55-34 Lbs. 1-5 fish limits.
