What a beautiful
weekend for our Classic. Both days were rain free and not to hot
for a change. But it turned out to be pretty hot for a few of our
Classic contenders. On Saturday Day 1 of our Classic there were 96
fish that brought to the scales alive, with the total weight of
234.76 lbs.
The team of Dan Pennington & Dale Brand won Big Bass honors
with a 5.74 lbs. toad with the total winnings of $560.00. Mike
& Jamie Stoute lead on Day 1 with a 5 fish limit that weighed
13.17 lbs.
After the weight in we all enjoyed a hog roast, & after dinner
we started out with a raffle for all of the kids that were
present, then the adult raffle, with over $4000.00 in door prizes
that were given away.
1st Place Ed
Bauer / Jim Patterson
Day
2 things seamed to get tougher for our Classic anglers, there were
57 fish brought to the scales, with the total weight of 145.59
lbs. But when it was all over the team of Ed Bauer / Jim Patterson
blew the field of 56 boats away with the total of 24.44 lbs. 6
pounds over the second place finisher. I spoke with Ed after the
tournament and he told me what he did. Ed Bauer is the owner of
Budro Baits on Saturday day 1 of the event he thru his baits,
Budro Plastics catching 5 fish that weighed 11.06 lbs.
Then on day 2 they went to the top water bite. Throughing top
water baits all day. Buzz baits & pop'rs. Ed & Jim are
well deserving competitors & were thrilled for their victory.
There
1st Place
Winnings totaled $5000.00 the team of Andy Gilkerson / Rex Webb
won Big Bass on day 2 with a 6.05 lbs Pig. Earning them $560.00
& Big Bass of the tournament plaque. Total Cash & Prizes
of our 2006 Team Classic totaled over $20.000.

& My Team & I have enjoyed meeting all of you this season
& can't wait until next season to start. Giving a New Skeeter
Boat away to one of our competitors in the tournament of Champions
is going to be very exciting in 2007. I am working very hard with
some other of our sponsors for the tournament of Champions for
other prizes.
I believe that next year will be our best year ever! From
splitting the Senior's circuit into a Northern / Southern
shootout, to the New River Rat Division. Things can only get
