The
local Bata-Nu chapter held their 4th annual bass tournament to
benefit St. Jude Children's hospital and The Salvation Army Angel
Tree. The tournament was held July 14th with 40 teams
participating.

Joe
White and Kasey Alexander took 1st place with 26+ pounds. They
caught every fish on a jig in 16 to 20 feet of water. They were
the only team to get their fish from that depth. Others said they
tried that depth but found no fish.

Tomi
Estes and James Naylor took 2nd place with 16+ pounds. They caught
their fish on jigs, worms and crank baits in around 12 feet of
water. They stated fishing was a little tough and had trouble
finding big fish.
Third
place went to Trent Young and DeWayne West with 15+ pounds. They
said they tried all depths of water but only caught fish at around
12 feet. Most of their fish were caught on jigs and worms.
Bata-Nu
considered the tournament a success and everyone seemed to have a
good time!
