ANGLER'S CHOICE

Dave Allyn & Andy Kman take the Win!
Fox Chain of Lakes, Sep 9, 2007, by Chuck Ramke

Conditions:
Air Temperature: Mid 70’s
Water Temperature: 70.4
Water Clarity: Cloudy
Skies: Sunny
Wind: From the west 0-5 mph

The day started with the father/son Fleming and Fleming team standing in first place in overall yearly point standing.

Earlier in the week the Fox Chain was in a “NO Wake” condition because of Midwestern rains creating flooding conditions. But with a week of no rain the waters went down an inch a day allowing the tournament to be held in normal boating conditions. Takeoff was held back till 6:15AM when it was determined to have safe light. The day’s forecast was for windy but sunny day.

The last Anglers Choice tournament was off and running with 21 boats in attendance.

The top honors on this day would go to the duo of Dave Allyn and Andrew Kaman from Alsip and Chicago , IL . They weighed in a 5 fish limit of largemouths that weighed in at 11.22 pounds worth $1413.00. The team worked the deep weed edges of the lakes to locate their fish using jigs. The Mike Pleticha Sr & Mike Bowen of Berwyn Marine had the big bass of the day a 3.37 largemouth that earned them $180.  Congratulations on your win guys and a great bag of fish. The team would like to thank their sponsors, Ranger Boats for their support.

Coming in just behind them was the team of Nick Vitullo and Tim Rodiek from Chicago and Elk Grove Village ,   IL . This team also was working the deep weeds, but with plastics for their fish. They brought in a 5 fish limit as well for a weight of 10.54 pounds. For their efforts, they earned $758. They would like to thank IK-CON lures their support. Great job guys.

Third place went to the team of Darell Christoph and Karl Kucik. They are sponsored by Lee’s Bait and Tackle.  They brought in a 5 fish limit of 10.00 pounds even and collected $469.00

And the Fleming team, point leaders all year, dropped out of first place when the second place points leaders team of Chadd Erikson and Zach Schmieglitz came in with a full limit.
