SOUTHERN ILLINOIS BASSBUSTERS

RICHARD BYRNES & GEORGE PANICK TAKE THE WIN!
Lake Egypt, February 25, 2007, by Earl Sigley

The day started out with light wins out of west and 54 degree temperature and cloudy skies. 51 degrees water temps in the north end and 38 degrees in the south end of the lake. It did not take long after the take off to notice the temperature was dropping and the wins picked up to 15-25 mile per hour. By weight in time 4:00 pm the temps had dropped to 42 degrees and the wind did not let up!

The first place team of Richard Byrnes & George Panick reported they only had 6 bits all day long and what a day. The team not only had a sack of fish that weight in at 20.29 lbs they had a monster bass that weight in at 7.66 lbs. Richard reported he caught the fish on a jig in a depth he would not disclose and in a location kept between the team. GREAT CATCH GUYS !
