monster bag of 5 fish for 24-30 Lbs, winning $1,380.00, including
Greg’s 6-49 Lb second big bass of the tournament. They caught
their fish on black/blue Lunker Lure jigs, flippin and pitching in
1-3 feet of water around the lower end of the lake. Ernie is 56
and is a finance director. Greg is 58 and is a code enforcement
supervisor.
2nd place
winners Vince Filla and B J Betz, from St Louis, MO, and Stonefort,
IL, weighed in 5 fish for 16-40 Lbs winning $630.00. They fished
timber and stumps around the ski area in about 4-5 feet of water,
using black/blue jigs and white spinner baits. Vince is 40 and is
a truck driver. B J is 25 and is a teacher. Shawnee Electric
sponsors them.
3rd place
winners Ron Johnson and B J Collins, from Marion, IL, weighed in 5
fish for 16-17 Lbs winning $330.00. They fished spring craw
colored Bandit crankbaits, and white spinnerbaits in deep water
grass beds in about 20-25 feet of water. Ron is 40 and does
drywall work. B J is 24 and works for Ameren Cips. Dunn’s
Sporting Goods sponsor them.

and Shannon Toigo, from Elkville and Christopher, IL, weighed in 5
fish for 16-01 Lbs winning $430.00, includes Greg’s $250.00 in
Ranger Cup Bonus Money.
Keith Cloe,
from Sesser, IL, weighed in a nice 7-96 Lb big bass winning
$300.00. Keith caught his fish on a black/blue jig, flippin around
mid-lake in 4-5 feet of water. Keith is 35 and is a Chiropractor.
