in a nice limit of 5 fish for 21-30 Lbs winning $1,710.00,
including Kyle’s big bass money for his 5-93 Lb bass. They
fished black/blue rattleback jigs, fishing secondary points around
mid lake in about 8-10 feet of water. They had a limit by 11:00 am
and culled 5 other fish. Eric is 25 and is an electrician. Kyle is
23 and is in retail sales. Southern Pro Lures, Flying Fisherman
Sunglasses and Foultz Fishing Shop sponsor them.
2nd place
winners Greg Berner and Shannon Toigo, from Elkville and
Christopher, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 17-56 Lbs, winning
$1,162.00 including Shannon big bass money with his 5-17 Lb bass,
and Greg’s $250.00 in Ranger Cup Bonus Money. They caught their
fish with green/chart spinnerbaits, fishing weeds in about 8 feet
of water around mid lake. Greg is 37 and is self-employed
furniture maker. Shannon is 38 and is a water/sewer plant
operator. Dunn’s, Pyramid Acres, Zeigler Outdoor Feed, Maxima
and Lunker Lure sponsor them.
3rd place
winners Don Norris and Billy Dean, from Marion and Johnston City,
IL, fished black/blue jigs, flippin cut’s off the main channel
in about 8 feet of water. They weighed in 5 fish for 17-06 Lbs
winning $456.00. Don is 44 and is a carpenter. Billy is 43 and is
also a carpenter.
4th place
winners Bob Lipton and Vince Filla, from St Charles and St Louis,
MO, weighed in 5 fish for 14-38 Lbs winning $304.00.
