fishing mid lake in about 1-4 feet of water. They had their limit
by 11:30 am and culled 5 other fish. Barney is 32 and is a
Ferrier. Sheldon is 50 and is a farmer.
2nd
place winners Tim Grounds and Mike McKinney, from Johnston City
and Benton, IL, weighed in 5 fish for 16-74 Lbs winning $630.00.
They fished clown colored Lucky Craft jerk baits and chart
spinnerbaits in 8-10 feet of water around the spillway area of the
lake. Tim is 49 and is self-employed Goose Calls manufacturer.
Mike is 34 and is a factory worker. Tim Grounds Championship Calls
sponsors them.
3rd
place winners Lonnie Bowlin and Jerry Bates, from Benton and
Zeigler, IL, also used Lucky Craft black colored jerk baits,
around the south end of the lake in about 6 feet of water. They
weighed in 5 fish for 16-54 Lbs winning $330.00. Lonnie is 36 and
is flooring installer. Jerry is 32 and is a carpenter. Zeigler
Fee, Harrison Sport Shad and Benton Carpet sponsor them.
Joe
Cocos, from Columbia, IL, won big bass with a 5-66 Lb bass winning
$300.00. Joe caught his fish on a #78 Table Rock Shad colored
Lucky Craft jerk bait around mid lake area in about 8 feet of
water.
Danny
Clark, from Mulkeytown, IL, won second big bass with a 4-49 Lb
bass winning $150.00. 22 boats weighed in 91 fish for 246-53 Lbs.
