GEORGE PANICK & ALBERT KRUEGER TAKE
THE WIN! |
||||
|
The fourth and final event for the WINTER (CHOICE) Division started out with a hour drive with heavy snow at times limited visibility to around 20 feet. This did not stop the dedicated anglers that signed up to fish knowing how good the fish at Egypt bite on a day like this. Five boats out of nine ended the day with a limit of nice bass. GREAT JOB GUYS!
The first place team of George Panick and Albert Krueger reported catching all their fish on jerk baits on the main lake fishing over schools of shad in 30+ feet of water. The team also reported catching to many fish to count but said they caught 10 fish over the 16 inch length limit. The 16.42 pound stringer earned the team $870.00 for first place and $70.00 for the first option for a total of $940.00 and plaques.
The second place team of Jason Barber and Cory Singletary drove all the way down from O’fallon IL in what they said was nothing short of a blizzard and it paid off. The team reported catching their fish during the early morning snow using rattle traps, crank baits and jerk baits on the main lake. The team limit of 5 fish totaling 15.07 pound stringer and a nice 5.15 pound bass that earned them big bass of the day earned the team checks totaling $132.00 and a nice plague.
