JERRY BATE & BRANDON BATE TAKE THE WIN!

The second event of the year (winter choice) at Lake of Egypt started out with cloudy skies and 10-15 mile winds with an unseasonable temperature of 59 degrees. Water temperatures ranged from 44 to 59 degrees. 

The first place team of Jerry Bate and Brandon Bate caught a limit of fish early and culled fish throughout the day to take the win. The team reported they caught 10 keepers before 11:00 am their big fish weighing in at 5.17 was caught shortly after. They had a total weight of 18.37 lbs, earned them a check for $1073.00. They also won big bass for the day earning $210.00. The GOLDEN EAGLE DISTRIBUTING/ BUDWEISER big bass bonus $50.00, and entering option pot $170.00 earning them a checks totaling $1503.00. The team is sponsored by Mercury Outboards, Lowrance electronics, Harrisons Sports shop, Zeigler feed store and MotorGuide.   

The second place team of Bob Hughey and Steve Ramey reported they caught their fish in shallow water using popping frogs. The team weighed in 5 fish with a total weight of 16.09 lbs; earning the team $656.00 and entering the option pot worth $102.00 earned the team checks totaling $758.00.  

In third place is the team of Steve Sanders and Greg Gordon. The team caught their fish in shallow water using jigs. With 5 fish limit totaling 13.25 lbs earned the team $401.00 and entering the option pot earned the team checks totaling $469.00.
