.The South Central Kentucky Division held the first
tournament of the season on Lake Cumberland on 2/25/05. The
pre-tournament meeting on Friday night was hosted by Eagle Heights
Church, and a special thanks to Tom Meadows and all the Church
staff who made this meeting possible.
The team of Doug Coulter and Todd Wilson topped 31 teams with a 5
fish limit weighing in at 14.51 lbs. The team reported catching
thier fish on Jigs and Crankbaits. They were rewarded 200 points
and checks totaling $1139.50 for thier efforts.
Sam Rice and Jimmy Page weighed in a 5 fish limit that tipped the
scales at 13.21 lbs good enough for 2nd place and checks totaling
$655.50. They reported catching their fish on Floating a fly, and
on grubs after the clouds gave way to bright sunny skies.
Big Fish of the tournament was rewarded to the team of Mark &
Ian Owens. The 5.20 Largemough netted them a 3rd place and 1st
place BF checks totaled $521.00.
The next event for South Central will be held on March 18th. The
meeting will again be held at Eagle Heights Church, and full
details will be posted soon.
