Chad's Pro Tips!! |

. Fishing
around other people presents a lot of unique situations. When fishing
in a crowd, or in a very popular spot, I try to fish differently then
the anglers around me. For
example, when fishing dense weed mattes, if other anglers are throwing
a heavy Texas-rigged worm, I’ll try to use a more subtle approach.
I prefer to use my go-to rig, a Strike King Zero rigged
weedless and weightless. Weightless
bait fished around the perimeter of the mattes gives a slower much
different presentation than a heavily weighted bait. The Maxima
Fluorocarbon Line is also very beneficial. This line allows an
advantage over other anglers because it sinks, it is invisible
underwater, and it’s also very strong and abrasive resistant. Another
tip is to try to put the bait where other anglers haven’t. This is a
huge PLUS! Present the bait quietly, without a splash and work very
slowly and methodically. If fish are holding tight in brush and cover
you’ll receive more bites. Keep in mind that if you’ve isolated a
large area that has potential but there are several boats on it the
fish are probably still there, but they’re feeling the pressure. Look
for areas close by that seem to be untouched by other anglers. It’s
a possibility that the fish might have migrated to another area
seeking refuge from the noise and commotion. |
