WI SOUTH Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail

HENDERSON AND FLOCK TAKE THE WIN
!
Mozingo, April 29, 2006, by

Water temp-55-62 degrees

The Wisconsin South Division first 2006 tournament in LaCrosse on Saturday April 29th was a wet one. The weather on Friday was nice during the day, but became cloudy before the meeting started. The meeting was held at Bethany Evangelical Free Church in LaCrosse. Our Speaker was David Allen a retired Army Chapmen. He gave a nice message by beginning with a verse from Mathew 4:19. David spoke about the Sea of Galilee and Jesus's followers that were lead into the storm were they put there trust in Jesus and know they were not in control. As follower we need to do the same. Trust in Jesus and let him lead you, because he is the one in control.
The dinner was sponsored by Glad Farms with fried chicken and all the yummy side to go along with it. At the meeting we were blessing with 3 rededications. With the 14 teams that fished we had two husband/wife teams, one adult/youth and a good mix of new and returning teams. The Wisconsin South Division has been blessed with a great staff. We were excited to have Mark Schutz and Grace to help out this weekend.

Saturday at the Clinton boat landing where it started to sprinkle all 14 boats were blasted off safely with rain gear on. Even though the staff was hopeful that the weather would hold out until after the tournament the rain came down right before weight in. This did not detour the first place team. Art Henderson and Steven Flock a father son team from Sparta that came in with 19.64 lbs. of fish. The river was up, but the fish were biting on crank bates, senko, tubes and spinner bates. Big Bass went to Ron and Brandon Gann with 4.50lbs. It was great to have every team came in with fish.

Even though the weather was not in our favor we had a great time. Our next tournament will be on May 20th at Wisconsin River Flowage.

Thank you to GOD, all the STAFF, (Tina, Cheryl, Amy, James, Dave Grace, Mark, Danny)
SPONSORS (Mathews Inc, Dairyland Technologies, Precision Controls, Brisbois Motor Inn, Church of Christ in Viroqua, Bethany Evangelical Free Church in LaCrosse, Faith Evangelical Free Church in Prairie du Chien, Culvers Restaurant in Viroqua, Vernon Square Cinema, Village Market, MG Lures, Glad Farms) and all the teams that fished the LaCrosse Tournament.
