42 teams came
out to Winneconne, to fish not only for a $4000 first place
prize, but also to raise money and show support for the fight
against Cystic Fibrosis.
This is the
third year of the tournament and the competition like past years
proved to be tough. An early morning thunderstorm did not
damper the anglers spirits, nor did it keep the weights down.

Taking the top
prize of $4000, was the team of Mark Schonscheck and Jeff
Kowalik from Omro and Sugar Grove, respectively. The team had a
6 fish limit that weighed in at 16.48 lb.

Coming in at
second place was Dave Belongia and Jason Olson of Fond Du Lac.
There was a tie with 15.3 lb., so Belongia and Olson claimed the
second spot with their big bass, which was also the big bass
tournament. Their hawg weighed in at 4.25 lb and was worth
$1000. With the big bass money and their winnings, the team
walked away with $3500.

Losing the tie
breaker and taking third along with $1500 was Gary Schild and
Dennis Marcinek from Mandelein, IL and Chicago, IL.
A big thank you
goes out to all the anglers, family and friends who came out to
the weigh in to help raise money for the CF Foundation. The
Oshkosh Bassmasters would like to thank all of the sponsors that
helped make this event possible, including Mercury, Stiehl
Communications, Mr. Marine, Frabill, Lowrance, Motor Guide and
Sportsman's Warehouse.
