35 anglers participated in the first Excel Bass event of 2006. Despite 38 degree, windy cold front conditions, several limits were brought to the scales.

Lindy's five fish limit of 14.3 lbs came on worms and a Pop R worked slowly on the inside weedline. 

Jim Severson, well know for being a great sight fisherman, bagged mostly bedding Smallmouth with tubes and flukes to earn second place with  13.3 lbs.

Chuck Stienbauer secured third place using his famous run and gun technique for 12.7 lbs.

 

Big Bass honors as well as 4th place went to Chuck Fields. It was a great tournament and a great way to kick-off the 2006 season!
