Tom
Petron and Brandon Moore win the Skeeter/Camp Confidence Charity
event!
With only one day for pre-fishing that did not produce, on
game day the team decided to try some old spots that they fished
years ago. They started working deep weed lines with a Stanley
jig. The "Run and gun from memory” pattern worked on both
days as they piled-up a total of 39.66 lbs!
53 teams competed on the Whitefish Chain on Friday and then
again on the Gull Lake Chain on Saturday. The Skeeter/Camp
Confidence Fundraiser is an annual event for the Camp Confidence
Learning Center near Brainerd. Thousands of dollars were raised
for the learning center this year through entry fees and a
silent auction. A big thanks goes out to all who contributed
door prizes and competed in this event.
The anglers competed for 50,000 in prizes and cash with 1st
place taking home a fully rigged 2006 Skeeter ZX 190 powered by
a 2006 Yamaha V 150 on a Skeeter/Trailer combination ($29,500
MSRP).
Rounding out the top 5 were:
2 - Dean Capra and Brad Leuthner 38.86
3 - Ron and Jim Linder 37.75
4 - Cody Zdrazil and Micah Radach 37.60
5 - Andy Anderson and John Crane 37.04
Big thanks to Terry Spaeth and Steve Soukup, Tournament
Directors and their staff for again putting on a well run event.
A great time was had by all!
