Conditions; Heavy bags needed to take the Win on the first event of the U.S. Anglers Choice Glacier Lake Division.
Zvorak/Larson brought an impressive 5 fish limit of largemouths weighing 19.60 to the scales. John and Mike caught their fish on lake Stella in 4 - 8 feet of water, with a variety of plastic baits. The team is familiar with the water but did not pre-fish much. The team pre-fished separately and were on about a 3 lb average apiece and were happy with the days catch. The team had to move around a few times, all their fish were not located in the same area. The team reported catching fish all day. With a great tournament win comes tournament expenses. The team reported taking out their prop going thru the shallow channel in Stella.
Second
place team, Dvorak/Jensrud also needed a big bag to come up with 2nd
place 18.74 for a 5 fish limit. Tony and Ken visits
Washington Stella about twice a year. The team doesn't feel like they have
fished the lake enough to be comfortable on it. The team reported
catching fish on both lakes, the fishing very slow with plastics.
The team didn't catch any fish for the first three hours. The team caught
their fish very shallow. The team would like to thank their Mom and
Dad. The
first event of the U.S. Angler's Choice Glacier Lake division yielded some
very nice bags of fish with about 90% of the field bringing a limit to the
scales. I
