The team was fishing in pool 5a. They were fishing
in four foot of water or less. They
reported having a good practice and it looks like it paid off. Most of their fish were Smallmouth with two of them weighing
over 5 lbs. Their
sponsors are Aberlan Boats, Yamaha and Minnkota
2nd
place anglers 18.66lbs $688.00
Lanny Issensee and Brian Christopherson
These guys had a little different approach to
catching their fish. They were fishing darker colored baits in the
current and on wood. They used Spinner baits and jigs to pull
there18lbs bag to the scales.
3rd place anglers 17.32lbs
$421.00
Jay Hanson and Don Hanson
These two were also on pool 5a but were not
fishing for smallies. They had 4 large mouth and 1small mouth.
They fished every thing from 2-18 feet deep Most of their
fish came from 3-5 feet deep. They caught most of there fish on
jigs, and the fish bit all day. Their sponsors are Jay Hanson

For my first tournament as a Anglers Choice
Director it went really well. We
had 22 boats and I think everybody in the crowd got to take
something home from at least one of our sponsors.
It would not be possible to run a such a successful circuit without them, So thank you.
Hope every body had fun and I can’t wait for this next
weekend when we will be on pool 6-7-8 in Trempeauleau, WI.
