This is a
fund raiser with a tournament. The anglers fishing the tournament
raise money for St Jude. Last year the anglers raised over $69,000.
This year the anglers raised over $100,000. Since the inception of
this fund raiser and tournament 8 years ago, the anglers have raised
over $400,000 for this great cause.
The weather
the prior week was cool with highs in the mid to upper 50’s to low
60’s with rain and wind. The starting day of the tournament, the
weather was clear and 34 degrees out. High sky’s and warmer
weather for the two days warmed the water back up from a drop Friday
night of almost 5 degrees.

Tom Whitehead

jigs.

weighing 4.04#.

Koosman weighing 4.46#.
This was and
always is a great event. The real winners here are the kids and
there families. All the money raised goes for cancer research. If a child's
insurance does not cover the treatment or pay the whole bill, St
Jude takes care of it. The child and there families never have to
pay. They get free room and board when they are there. It costs over
1 million dollars a day to run St Jude. All the donations help.
Thanks again
to all the anglers and staff the helped in this event.
