In a day that started with confusion and a
trailer and boat parade over the Mississippi River on the I – 80
bridge, John Patton got back to his winning weights!
JJ Patton made the run to the northern end of the pool where he
nabbed a 12.40 lbs sack for the win. He noted that all of his fish
came on jigs fished along wood. His sack included the days Big
Bass, a 4.18 lbs behemoth that is indicative of the quality of
fish in this pool. JJ had a weight big enough to win by 9:30am,
with four fish. Since he is a relentless competitor, he continued
to fight and catch his fifth and final keeper just minutes before
weigh – in. Great job JJ!!
Second place was taken by Rick Cloninger. Rick locked through to
Pool 13 and caught 3 largemouth bass for 5.02 lbs.
Third place was weigh in by Chris DeVries. Chris brought to
keepers to the scales for a total of 3.33 lbs.
