John (JJ) Patton
(file photo)
We had 7 anglers to start the day. Weather
was mild with temperatures starting in the mid 50' and slowly
climbing through the day. A constant wind blew @ 15-20 mph the
majority of the day.
As usual JJ Patton won the event with 5 fish
for 9.67lbs. He fished a tube the majority of the day at the far
northern end of the pool. He would like to thank his sponsor, his
wife, for her support. JJ also edged out Rick Cloninger's 2.17 lbs
bass with a 2.18 lbs largemouth for big bass honors.
Second place was taken by Rick with 2 fish
for 3.70 lbs. Rick's fish were caught on a lizard at the far
southern end of the pool.
Third place was taken by District Rookie
Todd Osborn. He weighed one fish for 1.89 lbs. He stuck to areas
of vegetation with traps and spinnerbaits.
