This was a great day for a tournament it was
cool in the morning but warmed into the 70's by lunch time. The
water temps were from mid 60's to 70 and the water was mostly muddy.
The fishing was good at time but several anglers reported long dry
spell during the day as well.
Scott Ford topped the field today with a 5 fish
limit weighing 13.33lbs. He spent the day in
Spring
Lake
and caught his fish on a variety of baits that included top water
and plastics. Scott is sponsored by Skeeter Boats, Grace Marine,

2nd place was claimed by Roger Koopman with
11.27lbs. Roger caught his fish very shallow in the grass using both
a Denny Brauer Pro Model Jig and a Gambler Otter Tail Beaver. Roger

& Sign.
Ken Warren claimed both 3rd place and big bass
honors. His fish were all caught shallow on grassy flats inside
Edick
Lake
. He got a quick limit with a green pumpkin candy Invader Jig from
Strictly Bass Lures then in the afternoon. Then a couple of bigger
fish including the big bass fell to a River FINatic also from
