ANDY SEATON TAKES THE WIN!
Pool 12, June 11, 2006, by Ken Warren

Conditions:
Wind: South East 5-15
Sky's: mostly cloudy
Air temps: Upper 50's
Water Temps: 65-70 degrees

The day was cool and overcast with the temps never reaching the predicted 60’s. This continued to cool the water temperature to the high 60’s from the peak a week before of 76. ESPN/BASS put on a good tournament and there was a good crowd on-hand to watch the weigh-in due to the River Festival going on in Dubuque.

First Place Boater, Andy Seaton from Pekin, Il.

First Place went to Andy Seaton from Pekin, Il. Seaton gambled and locked into pool 13, made a long run, and found a good concentration of fish. He brought in a limit that weighed 14lbs 4oz and tied for Big Bass with Scott Ford of Geneseo, IL with a 3lb 12oz largemouth. He took home $2310.00 in total.

Just 7 oz behind Seaton was Maquoketa, IA angler, Mike Mitchell with 13lbs 7oz. Mitchell did just the opposite and locked into pool 11 where he found his limit of fish. This was enough t0 claim the second place prize valued at $1386 in cash and prizes.

In third place was Mike Feldermann of Galena, IL He fished the mian river on pool 12 throwing a spinnerbait along the rocks. The key was just to cover a lot of water looking for active fish. Third place was good for $717 in cash and prizes.

Non Boater Catagory
The non-boater weights are a combination of the boaters weight and the non-boater’s possible 3 fish limit.

First place non-boater, Steven Banner La Grange, MO.

First place in the non-boater category went to La Grange, Mo angler Steven Banner with a combined weight of 21lbs 12oz. His prize was $1182 for the win.

Jim O’Malley of Elmhurst, IL took second place with a combined weight of 20lbs 1oz and took home cash and prizes valued at $1015

Third place went to Jeremia Matz of Waterloo, IA with the combined weight of 19lbs 1oz. Third place was good for $401 in cash and prizes.
