KEN WARREN TAKES THE WIN!
Mississippi River pool 11, June 17, 2007, by Ken Warren

L to R: Big Bass, Bob Edwards; 1st, Ken Warren; 2nd, Scott Ford; 3rd, Ryan Christoffer

The day was stormy early then about mid-day the sun came out and quickly warmed things up. In general the fishing was a little tougher that it was on Saturday but it still turned out to be a good day for fishing. Both muddy and clear water could be found and the water temp was around 78 degrees.

Visiting ABA Director Ken Warren claimed the top spot for the day with a limit of largemouth weighing 11.06lbs. He caught all his fish in two areas near the dam where he fished rip-rap and wood with eel grass on them. All of the fish he brought in were caught on a green pumpkin candy colored Invader Jig from Strictly Bass Lures. He swam this jig through the grass to find the bigger fish. Ken is sponsored by Triton Boats, Evinrude, Strictly Bass Lures, Rejuvenade, & FutureBass.com

Second place went to Scott Ford with 9.66lbs. He locked up into pool 10 and fished a frog in the grass. Scott is sponsored by Skeeter Boats, Grace Marine, and TackleWarehouse.com.

In third place was Ryan Christoffer who caught 9.66 as well but after a fish care penalty he ended up with 9.16lbs. His fish were caught on a frog and a crankbait between two points.

Big Bass was brought in by Bob Edwards with a 4.17 pound largemouth.

Thanks again to the sponsors: Scheels, Davenport Boat & Marine, Gander Mountain, Lowrance, Airrus Rods, V&M, Angler's Advantage Insurance, Motorguide, Mercury Marine, Triton Boats, Abu Garcia, Hooah Energy Bars, Rejuvenade, and Secret Weapon. Also, thanks to everyone who came out for this tournament.
