David Brossard and Keith Brossard take the win!
Madison Chain, June 17, 2007, By Paul Strege

The David Brossard – Keith Brossard team top the field on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the Anglers Choice, Madison Chain tournament. Even with heavy recreational boat traffic that accompanied the sunny skies, the duo caught a five fish limit weighing 16.26 pounds by targeting mid- to deep-level structure in all three lakes of the chain. They reported catching fish positioned along 10-15 foot deep weedline edges in the morning. And, they found weedbeds located in 8-10 feet to be most productive in the afternoon. The win earned the Brossard team $1005 for their efforts.

Coming in second were Tim Willihnganz and Brian Saari with 15.50 pounds. They also earned big bass honors with a 4.28 lb largemouth that bit when a rod was placed down on the deck while netting a white bass early in the morning! Willihnganz and Saari assembled the remainder of their bag by slowly presenting finesse lures in deep weeds for post spawn fish. Their second place finish was good enough for a $650 pay day.

In total, there were 14 teams participating in the event, with 9 of those teams bringing in a limit. The next Anglers Choice tournament will be held on Shawano Lake on July 8th. See the US Anglers Choice website for more details!
