1st Place Dean Capra
Dean took advantage of a morning bite on a steep
bank with a Rapala DT7 for a quick limit. Then it was to an
inside weed line were he used Northland Tackle's Dip Stick, and
Berkley Power worms to put together a 15.2 lbs bag to best the
field of 66 boaters.
2nd Place Jim Severson
Jim used the practice day to locate the few bass
still remaining on beds. He located only 8 or 9 beds and
used Tube Jigs tournament day to land 5 that weighed in at 13.5
lbs. Jim is know as a great hook. He missed going the
Classic last year by 1 oz. at divisional's on Potoka
Reservoir in Indiana.
3rd place Chad Keller
Chad had also located a couple sight fish that
he went to first thing in the morning. Chad was able to connect
on his first fish in less than 20 minutes. It was a 3 plus
pound fish that he used to anchor his 13.4 lbs catch. After
catching that fish Chad moved to an inside weed edge and
used Berkley Bungy worms to land the rest of
his bag.
1st Place non boater Steve Galletta
Steve was able to put together three quality fish behind Dean
Capra for a combined weight of 19
