Guy Thistle and Brandon Clemens Take Top Honors!
Lake Wisconsin, May 20, 2007, by Darin Roddick-Small

Air Temperature: 58-62 degrees
Water Temperature: 63 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained
Skies: Cloudy with winds from the N/NE at 10-15 miles per hour

It was a far cry from yesterday with the temperatures down by over 20 degrees and the winds changing almost 180 degree. With take off at 6:30, there was a heavy fog that slowed many people down while crossing the lake. The fog was still around in places at 11:00. The fish themselves were in a post spawn mode and the weights for this event were down from a month ago by close to a pound per fish average. 30 percent of the field also either blanked, or did not weigh their fish.

Thistle and Clemens, both from Lodi , Wisconsin , placed first again as the duo run up the river to locate post spawn small mouths in shallow water near wood cover. The two had over 21 pounds of small mouths on 7 fish to win today. They were working mostly tubes for their win today. Congratulations guys, great finish.

Walls and Willinganz took second place today along with the big bass honors for the day. Walls, of Lodi and Willihnganz, of Pardeeville, had 19.38 pounds on 7 fish. They weighed 5 small mouths and 2 largemouths today that they caught on tubes. They fished both the lake and the river for their fish and concentrated on water less than 5 feet deep. Their big bass for the tournament was a 5.38 pound toad largemouth. Great fish guys. Walls would like to thank his sponsor Mazanet Marine for all they do.

Miller and Kline wrapped up third place today with 7 fish weighing in at18.58 pounds. This team brought all large mouths to the scales today and concentrated on the lake for the day. Miller, of Portage Wisconsin and Kline, of Reedsburg, fished Plastics and a buzz bait to catch their fish. These two were also fishing water that was less than 5 feet deep today.

Tri City Bass would like to thank Beck’s on the Water for hosting the tournament. Thanks for all that fished and they hope to see you again next year.
