Air
Temperature: 72 degrees
Water Temperature: 58 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained, muddy in the river
Skies: Sunny and the winds from the N/NW at 15-20
It was a picture perfect start to the day, it was 50 degrees and
the skies were clear with light winds and everyone at the docks
were talking about it. Most people could not remember the last
time in this tournaments 12 year history where the weather was
going to be this nice. The fish are in a prespawn mode to
spawning, depending where you were fishing. The only down side to
this day was that the winds were to pick up and the river was
dirty and rising. After the tournament was completed, everyone
found out that the fish were cooperating for everyone, but most
could not find the quality bites needed to compete.
The
team of Guy Thistle and Brandon Clemens took top honors today and
for there efforts, they were rewarded with $1800. The Duo brought
to the scales a six fish limit that included all small mouths and
weighed in at an impressive 22.10 pounds. The two were fishing in
5-10 feet of water and were working plastics during the day. Both
Guy and Brandon live in the
