BROOK RODENBECK wins on LAKE WISCONSIN!
Lake Wisconsin, June 3, 2007, by Brook Rodenbeck

This was our third ABA tournament  this year. It was held out of the Bridge Motel on Okee Bay of Lake Wisconsin. There was a small turn out for this tournament, only 3 boats. The fishing was not to great for everyone. 2 of the people went up the Wis. river to try for Smallies but only found small fish to be active. Out on the main lake the LM's were slow throughout the morning. Then a heavy down pour came through around 10:30 that lasted about an hour. After the rain quit the skys cleared up some what and the fish started feeding good for the rest of the day. The weather was fairly pleasent with cloudy skys and temps around 65-70, and very mild winds.

The winning pattern came entirlly from Okee Bay , off of 2 different types of structure. First was a Rip-Rap shoreline with heavy overhanging bushes, And some fallen trees. The pattern was one of my favorites, Texas rigging a YUM Craw-Bug in a DK Green Pumpkin/ Red. The other was shallow weeds around a residential area. The pattern there was a PT Custom Baits (philly) 5/16oz Blu/Pur Finnesse jig w/Blk,blu ZOOM Chunk Flipped around the weed edges, and Pockets.

First place went to ------Brook Rodenbeck ------- 5 fish--11.61lbs
