The final Excel Bass Singles event was held on the Mississippi River - Brainerd , MN with 21 anglers competing. It was a three man points race for Angler of the Year that went right down to the wire. 

Jim Smith edged Lindy Frasl out for the 2006 AOY Title and first place with a mixed bag of Smallies and Largemouth for a five fish limit of 17-4 lbs.

Brian Brown went so far north he came back with snow on his boat! He got into the Brownies to secure second place with a 16-3 lbs limit. Local River Rat, Arnie Farber, finished third with 15-1 lbs. Jim Smith also took Big Bass honors with a 5-0 lb toad.

This was the final tournament of the 2006 regular season and it finished a great year for Excel Bass! A big thank you to everyone that particiapted this year. We fished some great new water and made many new friends. Stay tuned for exciting news on the 2007 season at www.excelbass.com
