Conditions:

Wind speed 10-25 MPH
Passing
thunder showers in the morning, high bright skies in the afternoon, with periods of showers through out the day.

Mark Allen and Brian Krause hold there course after a second place finish on Green Lake the day before to WIN the fourth event of U.S. Angler’s Choice Glacier Lake Division on Lake Koronis.

1st Place
Mark Allen and Brian Krause

The team of Krause and Allen are a newly formed team that are making a statement that they are a team to beat in the U.S. Angler’s Choice Glacier Lake Division. The teams pre fishing worked out to a tee.  The fish stayed and the weather stayed.  The fish stayed in their schools for 10 days. They fished three spots all day during the tournament.  The fish they caught were shallow.  ThunderBullet spinner baits were the ticket and weed patterns produced the big fish, when the team went deep all they found were small fish. They culled about 6 fish through out the day.  The team only caught small mouths and weighed in a 5 fish limit of 18.18 The Teams sponsors are Nisswa Marine, Triton Boats, BuyaBassBoat.com, Gamakatsu, Spro Crank Baits and Northland Tackle.

2nd place team Mike Nitchals and Andrew Nitchals.

Another team to look out for is Nitchals and Nitchals, the father/son team placed first in the Green Lake event the day before. The team likes Koronis Lake, they had a first place finish on this lake in this year. They spent about 6 hours pre fishing and their pre fishing plans paid off. The team reported catching fish through out the day.  They fished in 1 to 3 f.o.w. and weighed in a five fish limit of large mouths, weighing 15.7 lbs. The Nitchals are the current leaders in the Angler of the year race for Glacier division. They caught their fish on Strike King tube baits.  They also enjoy using Shimino rods and Diawa reels. The team is sponsored by Skeeter Boats

3rd place team Tom Wilkins and Doug Tverdik. Tom and Doug weighed in a five fish limit of 14.45lbs.

Big Bass honors went to Mike Nitchals  4.92lbs.

A special thanks goes out to the city of Paynesville for the weigh in site at Vetrens Park.

We would also like to thank our division sponsors. Fig Rig Rods, MG Lures, Angling Innovations, Thunder Bullets, Kevin VanDam’s Line and Lure Conditioner, Village Bank Online, Catch-N.com, and of course Future Bass.com for the Future of Bass Information.

Our next stop will be 8-13-06 Miltonia and 8-14-06 Lake Ida.

Please consider Viking Bay Resort for lodging  for both events. Viking Bay resort will be the host of the Miltonia event.
