Keith Taylor and Tucker Capella dominated the third stop of Lone Star Series North Division held at Bass Pro Shops on Lake Ray Hubbard Saturday, bringing in a one-day total of 31-87, that included an 8-44 kicker which proved to be the overall big bass of the day. James Renfro and Troy Thomas took second with an impressive 28-06 limit. Eric Gandy claimed third with another solid Hubbard finish of 23-92. Mike Kernan and David Weber finished fourth with 21-5 and rounding out the top-five was Paul Chadwick and Brad Cooper with 20-49.

”The Lone Star Series North anglers battled strong winds today but Lake Ray Hubbard didn’t disappoint.” “It took at least 19 pounds to finish in the money and the 31-87 bag from Taylor and Capella is a new Lone Star Series single day record for the largest limit weighed in tournament competition.” said Tournament Director Scott Gordon.  “I can’t wait to see what this fishery kicks out when the PAA is here for their All Star event.” added Gordon.

Up next is the final stop of the year for the Lone Star Series North Division at Lake Tawakoni, May 7th.  There are two remaining events in the Central Division at Lake Buchanan, April 23rd and Lake Austin, June 4th.  The City of Lufkin and Lake Sam Rayburn will play host to the 2011 Lone Star Series Championship presented by Nitro Performance Bass Boats on October 22nd and 23rd. Based at Cassels Boykin Park in Angelina County, this event will feature over 100 qualifying teams from the Central and North Divisions as they compete for the 2011 Nitro Z7 grand prize valued at $25,000.
