Central Wisconsin River Series first qualifier

Stevens Point, Wisconsin June 4th, 2012 The Central Wisconsin River Series held the first qualifier of the tour season on Saturday June 2nd on the Stevens Point Flowage. 41 teams competed for Cash, and Prizes and the chance to advance to the 2 day Championship this September on Lake Wausau. Despite very high winds, Clair and Raffe Hulce of Stevens Point topped the field with a limit of 6 fish that weighed in at 15.74 Pounds! The Tournament paid the top 5 places: 2nd John and Yeng Thao, 3rd Seth and Shannon Dupee, 4th Matt and Dan Hirman, and 5th Pete Skibba and Shawn Kruzitski. Big bass of the day was caught by Chris and Mike Withers. The 41 teams that competed in Stevens Point also donated nearly 500 pounds of Non perishable food to the Stevens Point Salvation Army. Crystal Finishing Systems Inc. also donated a $100.00 check along with the food- it’s the Anglers way of giving back! There will be 35 teams locked in the 2 day championship when the qualifiers end in September. Next qualifier if June 30th on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk.
